The past five days were spent in Utah and Colorado. Highlights of the trip include:
An early morning phone call wishing me a safe trip.
"Working on" my counterpoint homework for three days straight, and writing a total of 9 measures.
Valentine's Day skyping.
Drinking with two professors- I wasn't sure what the protocol was, legal though I may be, but when Po Ya (the other girl on the trip) accepted the offer of wine, I followed suit. I ended up picking the bottle of wine for the table.
Meeting some Buddhist Philadelphians in Denver, who told me about the best cheesesteak they ever had, at a place called Large Marge's (...in Denver). Marge is a size 4, from South Philly, and has her dad's Mummer costume hanging in the restaurant.
Our attempt at a silly picture. On the right is one of the chairs of the composition department. He is the sweetest man, but he's pretty timid. We were all surprised when he threw his scarf over his head. Commitment to the concept of a silly pic is appreciated. The others didn't jump on board.
In Denver, we met a really awesome girl who was taking some time off from Berklee to intern at a music management firm. She picked us all up from the hotel in her silver Prius, telling us how someone had hit her mirror in the parking lot. We were confused about why she bothered duct taping it back on... it turns out, it was dangling by the electric cords. Haha, ha ha...ha. Right.
