Erin Go What?!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, loves.

I've got the BEST NEWS EVER, which is as follows:

I got internship placement for the summer and I'm going to be working with Robin Rimbaud, AKA "Scanner", a SICK electronic musician based in London with a resume the size of a small country. He's got a bunch of projects going on this summer, including a SOUND INSTALLATION in the MIDDLE OF LONDON which he WANTS ME AND DIONE TO WORK ON. I am beyond excited. Check this ish out.

Second best news ever: I'm playing my own music earlier than I thought, at the April 8th synth community concert.

Third best? It's almost 80 degrees out today.

WE TOTALLY WENT TO NANTUCKET

Oh, wait, no we didn't.

After the ferry was cancelled Saturday night, we drove to Hyannis Sunday morning to try and get on a ferry. Thanks to the wind, we DID have a crazy day. But it was not on Nantucket.

Here are our disappointed faces:

This is what we eat when we have the munchies.

These are Oreos, but not:

This is Mary's ass:
Knowing that we are just not going to end up on a beach this spring break, we set up our own beach, in the rain, in the parking lot of the Cape Cod Mall:

We drove back to Boston last night, and ended up going dancing at Phoenix Landing in Central Square:

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better one day vacation.

She never loved me, she never loved me, she never loved me, why should anyone?

Friday's are _______ in the office:

Gizem, my workstudy friend.

Freakin chocolate in a freakin cupcake. Freakin yes.

I'm not a huge orange fan anymore.

I may have arranged paperclips to form the phrase "word sack". Maybe.

...catch y'all on Nantucket.

Identity Crisis

Jason, my boss, refers to me as either New or Old Rose.

Old Rose is organized and punctual, but sort of anal retentive and anxious.

New Rose shows up on time(ish), drinks alcohol and wears four inch heels,
and (apparently) eats green Fun Dip.

I'm having fun being New Rose.

Motherly Lurv

My mom and I, for sure, have our issues... but above, please find visual proof that she loves me, and has my best interests at heart.

(Yes, she offered to bump off each one of the boys I've dated, one by one.)

Flesh-Eating Gremlins Are Less Than Ideal

My friend Erich is the coolest- he drew me in front of the ARP2600 (analog synth).
Hey GUIRRELS (like...squirrels?) I started a new project, about which I am super psyched. Check it out, follow it, pass the link on to whomever. Ideas for posts are welcome too:

I like you. Yeah, you.

Lis(z)tomania

I've been experiencing interrupted sleep patterns due to excessive work, and also drinking. I finished my Berklee Achievement Scholarship portfolio submission in the middle of last night while listening to this.

I could use some (Brighter Than) Sunshine right about now, but save for the weather, the world is a beautiful place. Things that reassure me:

1) I bought the big size of peanut butter at Whole Foods yesterday.

2) Bicycle earrings.

3) Making out (hmm my last post mentioned that as well... new theme for the blog maybs?)

4) Tavi Gevinson and general precociousness.
4.5) My insistance on trying to use big words when I'm plastered (pedestrionically, anyone?) and the mortifying ramifications.

5) The NPR.org hourly news summary.

6) Intercourse, Pennsylvania.

7) Gabi's gray AA t-shirt that I went out and bought yesterday. So soft, and reminds me of the Roomskie.

8) Planned weekend trips to Nantucket.

9) Getting my ish together to perform my own stuff at Techno Rave next month. I'm gonna rock out with my... hmm? out.

10) Thinking about next September, when we'll all be together and we'll spend the whole month telling each other crazy stories about all the insane shet we did (see number 3, and 9)
